An award-winning communications professional, Sonya offers an intuitive ability to create strategic campaigns that meet marketing objectives and deliver a positive ROI, leveraging media and influencers to drive consumer belief and behavioral change in global markets.

As a senior advisor, Sonya has worked with many leading companies and brands including The Wonderful Company, producer of Wonderful Pistachios and Wonderful Almonds, Wonderful Citrus, POM Wonderful, Fiji Water, Teleflora and Landmark and Justin Wineries; Sunkist Almonds; Disney Interactive; Sony Publishing; Engine Fitness, makers of the Pilates Wheel; Kinecta Federal Credit Union; Sears, Roebuck & Co.; and more. She also serves as a guest PR speaker, educating audiences on the value of public relations and branding.

Sonya’s campaigns have been featured on The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Food Network, The Dr. Oz Show, NBC’s The Biggest Loser, Fox News, The History Channel,National Public Radio and in Shape, Oprah! Magazine, Better Homes & Garden, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, Newsweek, Redbook, Relish, Prevention, USA Today, WebMD and more.

 

At The Wonderful Company, Sonya led global communications for Wonderful Pistachios throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America, overseeing media relations, corporate events, influencer partnerships, social media programs and results, establishing Wonderful Pistachios as a leading category snack brand worldwide.

 

As Vice President at The Bohle Company, a public relations agency specializing in dot.coms, Sonya learned the business of start-ups working with Active.com, Virgin Mega and others.


At Paine & Associates (now Citizen Relations), Sonya launched the Disney Interactive Entertainment division, receiving multiple industry awards for her efforts; managed the opening of Sega GameWork’s attractions throughout Los Angeles; and handled Pioneer Electronics and Salon.com.


At Hill & Knowlton, Sonya managed video game publisher Sony; and was part of the successful California Avocado Commission campaign, highlighted in The Atlantic’s 2014 article “The Selling of the Avocado.”
